Set of 4 Early Pressed Flint Glass Hexagonal Candlesticks c 1850
Set of early pressed flint glass candlesticks, probably New England Glass circa 1850. Clear heavy early flint glass, cast in one piece. Metallic ring when tapped. Two are an exact pair and the other two are very similar. They vary from 9 1/8 to 9 7/8 in height. Two have metal inserts, one silver plate over brass, one pewter.. The set of 4 weighs 7 lbs (shipping weight 10 lbs).
Condition: Very good overall. No chips or cracks, save for some small chips at the base, as shown. One of the pair has a curved heat check in the socket which does not rise to the surface; hard to see though it is in the photos.
