McKee Flint Glass Harp/Lyre with Oval Oil Lamp Hexagonal Base 1850
This fine flint glass oil lamp has a nice form and is decorated in a harp and oval pattern. It was made by the McKee Glass Company of Pittsburgh and dates from circa 1850. It is made in two sections and wafer-joined. It measures approximately 9 5/8 inches in overall height and 3 1/2 inches across the foot rim. It has a period threaded brass collar and whale oil burner.
Condition: It is in good condition with the exception for a small fleabite on a point on the base of the foot, as can be seen in the photos.The usual straw marks and roughness of early glass production.
