Brown Westhead Moore Kew Blue Transfer Staffordshire Large Bowl Basin 1873
Fine antique Staffordshire transferware wash basin 15 3/4 inches wide by 6 inches tall by Brown Westhead Moore in the "Kew" Aesthetic pattern. The pattern is named after the famous Kew botanical gardens in England, and shows rhododendrons in flower. Rhododendrons, which are native to the Himalayas, were introduced to England in Victorian times.. Marked on the base with both printed and impressed marks, including an impressed British registration mark that dates the pattern to 1873.
Very good condition, save for a little wear on the rim, as shown. No chips or cracks. Please view the detail photos.
