Antique Wedgwood 13 Inch Covered Vase Urn "Eastern Flowers" 1914
Beautiful large covered Queen's ware (aka creamware) vase by Wedgwood in their long-running pattern "Eastern Flowers", pattern C3653. This Japanese-inspired pattern was introduced circa 1880. It is transfer printed in black and hand painted in an Imari-derived palette of lustre glazes, chiefly cobalt blue, iron red and tan.
This large covered vase or urn stands 13 1/4 inches tall. It weighs 2 lbs 12 oz (shipping weight 5 lbs). It has printed and impressed Wedgwood marks on the base, together with a three letter date code which dates this piece ot 1914.
Condition: Very good. No chips or cracks, no glaze loss, some fine clear crazing of the glaze.
