Rare Antique Free Blown Twist Rim Fiery Opalescent Flint Glass Trumpet Vase 1850

Beautiful tall trumpet vase free blown of fiery opalescent flint milk glass, joined to a socket foot, gaufferred rim with applied blue twist edging. The twisted ribbon edging makes this a very unusual design. I haven't seen this form documented. I ascribe it to New England Glass as they produced slender blown trumpet vases, ribbon glass and twisted ribbon paperweights from an early period. Circa 1850. No maker mark, rough pontil.

The trumpet vase is 7 3/8 inches tall by 2 1/2 inches wide at the base. It weighs 8 oz (shipping weight 1 lbs).

Condition: Excellent overall, some small inclusions near the rim on the interior as shown. No chips or cracks. Please view the detail photos.
